All Karndean’s luxury vinyl tiles are 100% water-resistant, making it a perfect choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Karndean Design flooring uses stain resistant technology called Karndean’s K-Guard+ as finishing on the top layer of their luxury vinyl tiles, making it more difficult for spills and stains to penetrate the surface of the flooring. Karndean flooring offers 3 types of installation processes:

• Rigid Core: Karndean Rigid Core is a straightforward installation process, thanks to its click-lock system, which allows the planks or tiles to securely snap together. It is highly resistant to impacts and denting due to its rigid core construction.
• Glue Down: With the glue down method, the planks or tiles are adhered directly to the subfloor using a recommended adhesive. We recommend you to hire a professional Karndean flooring installer for this type of installation. 
• LooseLay: Looselay is a glueless, floating floor system that does not require any adhesive during installation. The planks or tiles are designed with a unique interlocking mechanism, allowing them to be easily fitted together and stay in place without the need for glue or other adhesives, making it an ideal option for DIY project.

Karndean cleaning & maintenance

Karndean LVT flooring requires pretty easy cleaning & maintenance. You can sweep or vacuum the floors regularly to remove dirt and debris, followed by damp mopping with Karndean specially formulated cleaning products. Do not use harsh and abrasive cleaning products or steam mops as they can damage the flooring. It is also important to avoid excessive moisture or standing water on the floor. We recommend immediate cleaning for any spills and stains, especially with substances like red wine, coffee, or oil-based products. Additionally, using felt pads or protective mats under furniture legs and avoiding dragging heavy items across the floor can help prevent scratches and dents.
