FIRED EARTH Escalas Ocean Tile is a beautifully handcrafted ceramic scallop-shaped tile, bringing artisan character to interiors with muted oceanic tones and a subtle crackle glaze. Made by a small artisan producer in Spain, “Escalas” translates to “scales,” and the tile’s 155 × 170 × 9 mm format echoes that inspiration. Each mosaic-packed sheet fits 66 tiles per square metre, mounted with 1.5 mm grout spacing. With significant tonal variation and pleasing glaze crazing, it adds visual interest and texture wherever it’s used. Ideal for internal wall applications—such as bathrooms, kitchens, shower walls, and steam rooms—it requires sealing to protect the glazed finish. Escalas Ocean combines elegant coastal colours with traditional craftsmanship, delivering a serene and refined accent for both contemporary and classic British interiors.
